Chawton in Columbus: Columbus Reading Group
Upcoming Meetings:
Our next Chawton in Columbus meeting for Sunday, June 9, at 1:30 PM at the Northern Lights Library (Meeting Room 1), 4093 Cleveland Avenue.
Our theme for this year has been to look at biographies of Jane. We are exploring Jane's life in thirds. At our first meeting we looked at her family background and her childhood in Steventon. At the second meeting we looked at the teenage Jane, her Juvenilia, and her years in Bath and other locations. For this, our third meeting, we will explore the mature author and her final years in Chawton.
We will continue our discussion about some themes across the novels: best couple, most ridiculous character, most pompous, most self-absorbed, etc.
We will provide hot water, a variety of teas, cups, plates and napkins. You are welcome to bring food to share with others if you wish.
Let us know by May 31st if you are planning to attend.
