On Jan. 4, 2025, we gathered at the Armstrong Event Center in Lebanon, OH to celebrate Jane Austen and Twelfth Night with dancing, food, and cards.

JASNA CWO hosted a Twelfth Night Ball at the Patterson homestead on January 6, 2024.

New JASNA president Mary Mintz visited for a tea and talk at the Woodbourne Library on April 29, 2023.

JASNA Dayton hosted a Twelfth Night Ball at the Schoolhouse in Cincinnati on January 7, 2023.

On January 8, 2022, JASNA Dayton hosted a Ball at the old Dayton Court House.

On Saturday January 4, 2020 JASNA-Dayton hosted their 5th annual Twelfth Night Ball at the Patterson Homestead.

On March 9, 2019 JASNA-Dayton hosted their 4th annual Twelfth Night Ball, this time with a masquerade twist to it.

On March 16, 2018, JASNA-Dayton was treated to a fun, hands-on demonstration from Central Perc's baker/part owner, Rosie. She showed everyone how to make English Scones, helped make every batch come out well, and everyone had a chance to try their creations with an informal tea to end the evening.

On January 6, 2018, JASNA-Dayton hosted their third annual Twelfth Night Ball at the Patterson Homestead. There was feasting, card-playing, and plenty of dancing!

In September, Carrie Bebris gave a talk at the Dayton Metro Library about "Celebrating Jane Austen." Members and new-comers all learned a little more about the life of this most celebrated (for us anyway!) author.

Claire Bellanti, JASNA national president, presented her talk about circulating libraries called, "You can get a parasol at Whitby's" at the lovely Patterson Homestead. Our members enjoyed her wonderful talk, along with a delicious tea and shopping with Jane Austen Books.

In January 2017 JASNA-Dayton hosted their second annual Twelfth Night Ball at the Patterson Homestead. There was great food, dancing and cards, and great company.

In August 2016 JASNA Dayton members went to the Taft Museum in Cincinnati to see the Dressing Downton costume exhibit and enjoy a Jane Austen themed tour from Barbara Wenner.

On March 12, 2016, Amy Patterson of Jane Austen Books gave a talk about Mr. Darcy in Film at the Patterson (no relation) Homestead. A lovely tea was provided and an emporium with Jane Austen Books was also.

JASNA Dayton hosted its first 12th Night Ball as a belated celebration for Austen's Birthday at the Patterson Homestead.

This year's AGM was very close to home for Dayton Janeites and many attended the fun and discussions in Louisville, KY.

Crystal Lake, Assistant Professor of English at Wright State, revealed the kinds of artifacts Austen might have seen in private collections and in a range of public museums.

Members gathered at the Golden Lamb to learn how deadly disputes were settled in Jane Austen's time.

Victoria Hinshaw, well-known to JASNA members as an expert on English Great Houses and abbeys, gave a presentation on the history of abbeys and other religious houses in Britain.

Historical interpreter Ann Armstrong opened our 2012-13 season at Jay's Restaurant in Dayton with a talk about the evolution of “lingerie, underpinnings, foundation garments, or just plain underwear” with emphasis on Jane Austen's time period.

Historic interpreter Albert Roberts gave an entertaining and informative presentation on the tools and techniques used by Regency-era physicians.

JASNA President Iris Lutz visited the Dayton region to present a virtual tour of English houses that may have inspired Jane's fiction.

Five champions took on the challenge of defending their favorite Austen heroes at the Edith Mae Tea Room in Xenia. The winner? So many fine arguments were presented that individual members of the assembly were left to decide for themselves.

The Dayton Region celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a Gala event at the University of Dayton.

Janeites made their first official visit to Dayton's newest tea establishment. Kristopher Shultz of the George Rogers Clark Heritage Association gave an informative talk on historical reenactments and living history, and how they deepen one's understanding of a historical period in a unique way.

On December 6, 2009, local Janeites met at the former Lebanon post office to toast Jane's birthday a week early and dance the day away.
